As a government entity, hub.brussels provides tailor made support and tools to people who live in the Brussels Region. It aims to facilitate decision-making, strengthen autonomy, and deploy its network of over 300 collaborators in order to support regional businesses. hub.brussels has developed projects that address topics such as media, trade, health, tourism, the economy, and sustainable energy use and construction.

Key initiatives

Ecobuild works to support actors in the sphere of sustainable construction to collaborate and become competitive in the Brussels market. It provides seminars, site visits, networking events, and exhibitions which highlight themes in support of the government’s 2020 goals of CO2 emissions. Key topics include insulation, rational use of energy, renewable energy, the use of low-energy gray materials, and more. See more.  

Greentech provides guidance for individuals and companies in the sustainable energy sector for free. It provides technical and managerials support, with the goal of « encouraging the adoption of a circular (sustainable) economic model ». The project Circlemade, aims to increase the efficiency of the use of resources and reduce the environmental impact via the circular economy, while the program Greenlab supports the start-up of organizations in energy efficiency.
