The following statement sets out the manner in which the PARENT project will collect, use, store, share, transmit, delete or otherwise process (collectively “process”) your personal data. Personal data means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. The standard of personal data protection set out below will be used by PARENT to provide adequate and consistent protection for the processing of your personal data.
Collection
All personal data of participants collected by the PARENT research project is collected under the explicit consent of respective participants. The PARENT research project will only collect personal data that is needed for the purposes of facilitating the aims of the project by lawful and fair means. Further, the collection of personal data is pursuant to EU Directive 95/46/EC and EU Regulation 2016/679.
Processing
The PARENT research project will only use the personal data collected within the scope of the research project and only for the duration of the project. Personal data may be processed for research purposes during and after the duration of the Project. In the latter case, the data will be properly anonymized, as required by EU Directive 95/46/EC and Regulation (EU) 2016/679.
Security and confidentiality
The PARENT research project will keep personal data confidential and securely stored and only members from the PARENT project team will have access to it. The project uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical security measures to protect personal data from unauthorised access, destruction, use, modification or disclosure.
Openness and data access
Any participant of the PARENT research project can inquire about and consequently be informed about how their personal data is processed and the rights and remedies available under the applicable law. Participants may inquire as to the nature of the personal data stored or processed by the PARENT research project. Participants will be provided access as required by EU law. If any data is inaccurate or incomplete, participants may request that the data be amended, rectified, or erased. The contact details of project representative to be contacted for these queries is provided in the Consent Form signed by all participants of the project. Should these requests be denied, participants are entitled to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
