The Bergen partner has as its main responsibility a focus on social acceptability and responsibility in innovation (Responsible Research and Innovation, RRI). We have developed a framework for the PARENT consortium to help implement and reflect on the societal and ethical dimensions of smart electricity. A special focus is on users needs, interests and values. In our Bergen Pilot we explore these topics in focus groups and interviews dealing with participants everyday experiences with the Smappee device and the PARENT platform.
